Research and professional experience

Graduate Researcher — Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. Present. Field and experimental research on freshwater invasions and predator–prey dynamics; pilot-phase laboratory predation and thermal-choice trials with video-based behavioral analysis; statistical analysis in R supporting conservation-relevant questions in the Willamette and Umpqua systems.

Lecturer and Trainer, Environmental Sustainability — Principles of Environmental Sustainability Program, Qunfudhah, Saudi Arabia. May 2012 – September 2017. Trained conservation professionals and park rangers in ecological assessment and wildlife management; delivered technical workshops on water quality monitoring; contributed to conservation work in the Wadi Hali region.

Biology Teacher — Ministry of Education, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Since January 1999. Designed and taught inquiry-based biology curricula; integrated data analysis and spatial tools into classroom science; led development of an environmental science curriculum adopted by five regional schools; mentored students to regional and national science fair recognition.
